April may well be in full flow, but this month’s events are only just getting started. Happy to report that my first event in a while, One Healthtech and Hale House’s International Women’s Day celebration, was exactly what I needed to dust the networking cobwebs off, catch up with brilliant people and hear from other awesome women about failing forward and owning your leadership style.
Attending a solitary event has clearly given me the bug, and so SomX Healthtech Talks is finally back on 28 April. Preventative healthcare still has some big questions that, as yet, remain unsatisfactorily answered, so we’re inviting the healthtech community to tackle them in an open debate and discussion, alongside Neko Health’s Hjalmar Nilsonne and Dr Nikita Kanani MBE. If you’re in NHS / health system leadership, academia, public health, policy, investment, founder/board-level, private health, insurance and beyond, and have views on who pays, who should deliver and who benefits, you need to be in the room.
Finally, it might be early, but I’m already limbering up for HLTH Europe (pacing the conference floor and the obligatory morning runs). Three years in, and it’s become a focal point in the healthtech calendar, bringing together a deluge of investors, innovators and providers in Amsterdam. I’m already hearing WhatsApp group whispers of barges, stroopwaffels and ofc the coveted Petunia Unicorn stuffies that have been customary for delegates to wrestle over (figuratively…) for their kids, so if you haven’t yet booked your ticket (or your flights/hotels/attendance at a barge party etc etc etc), get a wriggle on!
